CrossFit Imperial Valley’s Food Drive
for
Spread the Love Charity 

Spread the Love Charity works with homeless in the Imperial Valley. They currently feed the less fortunate 7 meals a week, collect clothes, shoes, hygiene, school supplies, etc. for those in our community who request help.

Help us Spread the Love this giving season by donating to our food drive!

Will Work for Food!

Members, donate canned goods and put your coaches to work! For every box filled, your coaches will complete 250 reps or pounds in burpees and their favorite lift.

Make sure you attend our Pre-Holiday Bang Potluck & WOD on Friday, November 16 to watch your coaches work for your donations.

Pre-Holiday Bang Potluck & WOD

Come celebrate our community with a fun WOD and refreshments!

 

The Pre-Holiday Bang WOD is a benchmark type workout designed to create a fun and challenging experience. We will run the workout in heats in a first come, first serve basis starting at 4:00pm. The workout and scaling options for all fitness levels will be published in advance. Morning classes will perform a different workout than the Pre-Holiday Bang WOD.

Come WOD, eat, and cheer on your peers!

Family and friends are welcome to attend. Please sign up to bring potluck items at the front desk!

November 3:00 Challenge

Participate in CrossFit Imperial Valley’s gym wide challenge!

The goal is to work hard each week on these explosive movements and build strength, power and metabolic conditioning in them over the course of the month. As an individual you will measure your improvements with consistent work. As a community we will see how many reps we can complete in a month!

Monday

MAX Kettlebell Swings in 3:00

Wednesday

MAX Wall Balls in 3:00

Friday

MAX Burpees in 3:00

Guidelines

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week, choose to participate in that day’s challenge. No making up missed days.
  • Movements must be completed in 3 consecutive minutes.
  • Athletes should use their standard Wallball and Kettlebell weight or slightly heavier if form remains good.
  • Can be completed ANYWHERE!
  • Log reps in SugarWOD each day.
  • See SugarWOD for movement standards. And, remember that only your own fitness suffers if you don’t uphold good movement standards and rep counting!
